Biography


Patrick practice focuses on a diverse range of general litigation matters, including but not limited to: businesses and contract disputes; business formations for Alabama Limited Liability Companies and Corporations; shareholder disputes; personal injury and tort litigation; construction litigation; labor and employment disputes (wage and hour/FLSA litigation; employment retaliation/discrimination/interference claims concerning FMLA/ADA/ADEA/ and Tittle VII actions); Federal Truth in Leasing disputes between lease purchase owner-operator drivers/contractors against federally regulated motor carriers; violations of Federal Truth in Leasing Regulations and the Motor Carrier Act; estate litigation; estate planning; business consulting concerning labor and employment matters; Camp LeJeune claims, and representing plaintiffs in class actions.


Patrick prides himself being and effective advocate for his clients. The Birmingham Business Journal awarded Patrick “Best of the Bar” (2021-2022) which recognized top lawyers across Birmingham’s legal community. He has also been recognized by SuperLayers as one of the top rated general litigation attorneys in Alabama (for years 2021, 2022).


Patrick has  handled cases in state and federal trial courts (jury and bench), as well as appeals to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Patrick is also experienced at mediating and arbitrating(AAA and NAM) disputes on behalf of his clients. 

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristen, their two children, and golden retrievers. His hobbies include car restoration/engine building and playing music.
