Patrick's practice encompasses a wide array of general litigation matters, including but not limited to: business and contract disputes; the formation of Alabama Limited Liability Companies and Corporations; shareholder disputes; personal injury and tort litigation; construction litigation; labor and employment disputes (including wage and hour/FLSA litigation, employment retaliation, discrimination, and interference claims related to FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and Title VII actions); Federal Truth in Leasing disputes involving lease purchase owner-operator drivers and federally regulated motor carriers; violations of Federal Truth in Leasing Regulations and the Motor Carrier Act; estate litigation; estate planning; business consulting on labor and employment issues; Camp LeJeune claims; and representing plaintiffs in class and collective actions.
Patrick has successfully handled cases in both state and federal trial courts (including jury and bench trials), as well as appeals to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is also skilled in arbitrating and mediating cases on behalf of his clients.
Outside of his professional life, Patrick enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, restoring cars, and playing music.
