Biography

Maurine, a Caruthers fellow and Scholar of Merit, earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. She actively contributed to the Cumberland Law Review as both a Junior Editor and Copy Editor, and led the James O. Haley Federal Trial Competition for the Cumberland Trial Board.

During her tenure as a member of Cumberland's National Trial Team from 2010 to 2012, Maurine was part of the winning teams for the Tournament of Champions National Trial Competition and both the Regional and National Trial Competitions for the American Association of Justice. Her accomplishments were recognized with the Papantonio Trial Advocacy Award and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Scholarship in 2012. Prior to attending Cumberland, Maurine graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
